Ryanair flight FR3445 declares midair emergency above Manchester 'after birdstrike on takeoff'

Ryanair plane A Ryanair flight has declared a midair emergency above Manchester, reportedly due to a collision with bird shortly after takeoff.
Flight FR3445 was headed to Palma de Mallorca in Spain tonight but began circling just miles into the journey.
According to flight tracking website Airlive.net, the plane declared an emergency over the city after 6pm.
It had been due to arrive in Palma at around 8.50pm but the site says the flight is now returning to Manchester Airport before resuming its journey.
