David Bowie’s widow, supermodel Iman, is grieving the loss of her mother just two months after her husband died.
The Somali beauty shared the sad news in a sorrowful Instagram post on Friday, sharing a sweet photo from her wedding which included her mother, Marian Abdulmajid; her father and the Starman legend.
Iman, 60, captioned the beautiful family photo: "Saddened by death of my mom Maryan Baadi. May Allah grant her the highest jennah.
Opening up about her mother in an interview with The Guardian in 2014, Iman said: “My mother was an activist, so was my father. They came from a generation of young Somalis who were actively involved in getting independence for Somalia in 1960.
“He took on role of man of the house after his dad died.
“So I remember when I was five how busy our house was. People would come in the middle of the night, meetings after meetings, and protests and all that. I grew up in the midst of all of that. And she instilled that in me. The fact that nobody can take your self-worth unless you give your consent.
