Model Kendall Jenner nearly risked her life when she tried to pay a visit to soldiers in Kazakhstan.
The Calvin Klein model was travelling from Turkey to China and wanted to speak to soldiers who were loading military aircraft on the tarmac but was told she couldn’t in case she was shot.
Recalling the incident, Kendall told Vogue: “Our pilots were like, don’t go over there; they’ll shoot you!”
During her Vogue cover interview, Kendall also recalled her over-amorous fans – pointing out that her Brazilian fans were “very enthusiastic and loving”.
She said: “One jumped on the back of our van. The guy is just hanging on, and it’s like, whoa, and then all of a sudden he comes off and he hits the ground, but then he pops back up and starts running again. Crazy!”
The 20-year-old model is celebrating covering Vogue, following in the steps of her sister Kim Kardashian – well, a special digital edition of the US magazine, anyway (so not quite the paper mag, but she’s getting there).
But it's fitting that it's a digital cover, because the interview celebrates Kendall's legions of Instagram and Twitter followers to the magazine – currently standing at a combined 68.4million.
She told the magazine: “[My Instagram] has to be organic.
“You don’t want to do too many posts, You want to leave them wanting to come back… mystery.”
Kendall also spoke about the creative proves behind her most famous selfie, where her locks of hair have been arranged into heart shapes – which last year was the most liked selfie on Instagram in 2015 .
She explained: “I was having a bad day. I wasn’t in the flow. I was like, Everyone sucks. That’s when I did my best image.

“I was lying in bed and messing with it. And I thought, Is this good? And I just posted it, and I remember looking at it right away and having a lot of likes and saying, ‘Huh.’”
It seems we really do live in an age where selfies are an art form.
And when Kendall's not busy being all arty on social media? Nope, she doesn't want to go to college if you were wondering.
The model said: “You talk to people and they say the reason they went to college was to get a job, but I already have a job, so…”
